This study entitled the" Comparison of Ashattibi in (al-Maqasid al- Al Shafyah) between Ibn Malik's Matn (al-Alfiyah and al –Tasheel): A critical discourse study" which sheds light on the methodology of Imam Abu Ishaq Al-Shatby in making the balance. The study sought to identify these balances and make judgements based on what Al-Shatby believes, with the fact that he is supporting the balance with evidence and argument. The study also sought to clarify what Al-Shatby leaned on in his balancing with evidence and discussions.
The nature of the research necessitated dividing it into four chapters preceded by an introduction, and a conclusion appended to the necessary technical indexes. The introduction dealt with the motives of the research, its importance, previous studies, its plans, the definitions of balance, the definition of Ibin Malkin, the definition of Al-Shatby, the definition of Inb Malik books (Al-Alafiyah and Al-Tasheel). The first chapter dealt with Shatby's balance between the books of Ibn Malik contained in the grammatical sections, and the second chapter dealt with the balance of Shatby between the books of Ibn Malik contained in the grammatical chapters. The third chapter dealt with the Al-Shatby's approach to the balance, which includes four topics. The first topic: The basics of the balance, the second topic: Types of the balance, the third topic: Al-Shatby's method of viewing of the balance, his reasoning, and judgement of the evidence, and the fourth topic: The grammatical assets on which Al-Shatby based his balance. The fourth chapter dealt with the balance evaluation, which includes two topics: The first topic: The pros of Al- Shatby's balance, and the second topic: The cons of Al-Shatby's balance. Then the research was concluded with a conclusion showing the findings of the research. The most prominent findings are: Al-Shatby's balances were based on several bases, including: balances because of the contradiction of views, because of non-restriction in phrase, or because it deludes contrary to what is believed. It was also proved that Al-Shatby inferred by measuring and hearing the views of Sibawayh and the public when making the balance |
