Abstract : This is a critical study that deals with the place and relates it to poetry in the region of Tabuk (1932 - 2016). This study aims to examine the most prominent spatial phenomena included in the collections of the poets of the region of Tabuk as it explores the strong relationship between poetry and place. Despite the presence of the place in the poetic product of the region of Tabuk and its importance in modern poet studies, it has never received an independent academic critical study. This study is based on a clear statistical approach. It explores all the publications of poets of the Tabuk region during the period between 1932 and 2016. The study is also based on a statistical method to investigate the phenomenon of place through the survey and extrapolation of all the poets of the Tabuk region in which a sample was selected. The study discusses the significance of the place in poetry in general, and in the poems of the poets of Tabuk in particular, it is important indications in this area of religious significance, which means land and holy sites, which undoubtedly means in this research Islamic sanctities, there is also historical significance based on the historical importance of the place. The national significance is based on belonging to identity and nationalism. These are all of the modern influences in Arabic poetry. The study also discusses the semantic differences that are due to the difference in location, which is the geographical difference, such as there differences between Bedouins and those who live in cities, and how these differences influenced their poems as well as the difference of regions and nature from place to another has a significant role in the difference of semantic effect. The research concluded that the influence of the place in the poetry of the Tabuk poets is characterized by pluralism and openness, accompanied by environmental, geographical, religious, and national influences and and others based on identity, culture and civilization. These features are among the most prominent sources of diversity in the past.
