Abstract : Air pollution is the leading environmental problem in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. As the daily average particulate matter diameter ≤ 2.5 um (PM2.5) concentration showed significant temporal variability with average (36.97 ± 16.22 μg/m3) exceeding (WHO) guideline (25 μg/m3). This thesis investigates the current and future urban sprawl away from sources of air pollution that could be carried by winds. The relationship between Rabigh City and the industrial zone to its southwest is investigated by studying wind direction and speed from collected data for the years 2015 to 2018. Then, the quality of air is investigated based on data collected from 6th May– June 17th, 2013 at a fixed site in the middle of Rabigh. Using collected data, a neural network model is developed and used to analyze the data that were gathered for this study utilizing neural network methodology and software
