Abstract : Purpose: The present study aims to assess the role of spaced and massed practice to transfer acquired educational skills to real-life practice. Methodology: The study has employed a qualitative and quantitative approach to measuring the efficiency of the spaced and massed programs (Spaced group and Massed group, respectively) (n = 35). The conceptual framework CIPP model was chosen from the common evaluation models. Results: The structured planned formative assessment was not performed by 62.5% of the faculty members from the spaced group and 87.5% of the faculty members from massed group. Item analysis was performed by all the faculty members of massed group; whereas, only 62.5% of the faculty members performed it from the spaced group. Appropriate responses to the item analysis were performed by 75% and 37.5% of the faculty members of massed group and spaced group, respectively. Students’ success rate among spaced group was higher as compared to the faculty members of massed group. On the contrary, students’ satisfaction among massed group was higher, as compared to the faculty members of the spaced group. Conclusion: The massed learning programs showed better results; however, the complexity of skills is effective based on the usefulness of spaced learning over massed learning. Keywords: Faculty Development, Spaced Practice, Massed Practice, Educational Skills, and Real-Life Practice.
