Abstract : The introduction of Schiff bases containing N, O donor's molecules and their complexes of precious group metal (PGMs) ions e.g. ruthenium(III), platinum(IV) and iridium(III) in many cases produces color strength, biological activity, and cytotoxic activities and . catalytic activity.. Thus, the work in this study can be summarized as follows : Characterization of the following octahedral complexes of the Schiff bases H3L1, H3L2, HL3 and H2L4 : [Ru2(L1)(NH3)4(Cl)2(H2O)2]Cl,[Pt2(L1)(NH3)5(Cl)3]Cl2 and [Ir2(L1)(NH3)4(Cl)3(H2O)].H2O, [Ru(L)(Cl)2(NH3)2(NH4)2].2H2O , [Pt(L)(Cl)3(NH3) (NH4)2] .H2O, (NH4)2 [Ir(L)(Cl)2(NH3)2], Ru2(L)(Cl)5(NH3)4], [Pt2(L)(Cl)7(NH3)2].3H2O, and [Ir2(L)(Cl)5(NH3)4], and [M2(HL4)(Cl)x(NH3)y].zH2O where (M= Ru3+, Pt4+ and Ir3+, HL= monobasic ligand, x=5, y=4, z= 0 for Ru3+ ; x=7, y=2, z= 1 for Pt4+ , and x=5, y=4, z= 1. The chelation behavior, spectrochemical parameters ( ν2/ν1, 10Dq, B, C and b) and the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters(E*, DS*, DG) of the degradation products of the various complexes using TG and DTG curves were determined and fully assigned. On the other hand, SEM, TEM, and XRD were used to assign the surface morphology f the complexes. The cyclic voltammetric behavior of the Schiff bases and selected complexes of the Schiff bases were fully studied and fully assigned. The various redox couples of tested complexes were assigned. The current function was used to assign the electrode mechanism .
