Abstract : The current study aims to reveal the relationship between the methods teachers used in teaching such as good example, justice, dialogue, reward, punishment, and their students' intellectual and behavioral moderation, as well as defining the difference of intellectual and behavioral moderation among students according to the differences in the methods used by teachers during their teaching. The population of this study consisted of all third grade high school students in Khamis Mushayt province. A stratified sample of (400) students was taken to represent the population. The researcher used the descriptive survey method by using the questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The study, which was conducted during the first term of year 1432/1433 H, revealed significant results of which comes the importance of the role of the teacher in providing intellectual and behavioral moderation among students. With regards to the methods used by the teacher, the study sample refused the idea that the teacher shared the student his concerns and problems, and that the teacher balances the imposition of punishment and reward. Respondents had reservations on teachers in terms of using quiet dialogue with the students, caring about them, and training them to use appropriate methods to solve their problems. In addition, respondents refused the hostility against anything foreign, also they relatively rejected the intolerance for the group to which they belong, and approved the use of force in all cases. Third of the study sample refused the principle of tolerance for others, and only one quarter of them accepted the dialogue method.
