Abstract : Ferula hermonis is an endemic plant grows at the joint borders of Lebanon and Syria. Its roots are ingested as a liquid solution Ferula hermonis has been used in traditional medicine for sterility treatment, used against frigidity and impotence, to increase aphrodisiac. The project aim is to investigate the effect of the aqueous extract of the Ferula hermonis root on some behavioral aspects (Locomotion and Aggression) by using laboratory mice, and on some neurophysiological aspects through measuring the effects of different doses on neurotransmitters levels in seven brain areas in laboratory mice, on some physiological functions of liver and kidneys by measuring a levels of some enzymes of liver and kidneys and measuring of testosterone hormone, also histopathological changes on Testis, Liver, and Kidneys. And estimating the fertility of male adult laboratory mice after ingestion with the aqueous extract of the Ferula hermonis root extracts. There are three different doses with concentrations of 1.5, 3, 6 mg/Kg for 3 and 6 weeks, also the same doses combined with Vitamin C, third group had been replaced the doses with Vitamin C, and the fourth group had been stopped ingestion (withdrawal) for 3,6 weeks. Also there are acute ingestion by different doses for 30 minutes, 24, 48, 72 hours. The results showed that acute ingestion made significant increasing in some neurotransmitters levels after 30 minutes, 24, 48 hours, and no significant level after 72 hours, but showed that there are very high significant differences in neurotransmitters levels after ingestion with different doses for 3 and 6 weeks, the doses combined with vitamin C, and replacement of doses by vitamin C resulted in reduce the significant difference, and showed high significant difference after different doses withdrawal. The Result showed that there is a high significant level after acute ingestion with a high dose 6mg/kg after 30 minutes on some behavioral locomotion and aggression, and there is no significant level on behavioral aspects (Locomotion and Aggression) after acute ingestion with other doses. But showed that there is very high significant level after a chronic ingestion for 3 and 6 weeks on some behavioral aspects (Locomotion and Aggression). The doses combined by vitamin C for 3 and 6 weeks and the replacement of the aqueous extract by vitamin C decrease the significant level that occurred by ingestion by different doses. And the study occurred that there is no change in the level of significant after withdraw ingestion by aqueous extract of Ferula hermonis roots. The Result showed no any significant level on Liver and Kidneys enzymes, but there are high significant on testosterone level after acute ingestion, and showed a very high significant level on liver and kidneys enzymes and the testosterone hormone after ingestion with aqueous extract for 3 and 6 weeks. No decreasing of significant level occurred when the doses were ingested combined by vitamin C or replaced with vitamin C, also after withdrawal by stopping ingestion. And accompanied with severe histopathological damages in Testis, Liver, and Kidneys. The results showed that the pregnancy ratio and number of fetuses decreased with increasing doses concentration. The results showed that vitamin C didn’t enhance the effect of different doses. And showed that there are no significant differences in embryo's weights during 8 weeks, and no significant differences in there Locomotion and aggressive behaviors after 8 weeks. The Study concludes to warn users to the presence of very severe damage on various systems and functions of the body.
